Nuit de Longchamp, a 'night at the races'. Longchamp is the famous Parisian race course in the Bois de Boulogne, venue for the greatest French horse race of the season, the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe
This fragrance was first created in 1934 to celebrate the famous horse race at the Longchamp racetrack in Paris, followed by a sumptuous soirée. In pre-war days this had been one of the most exclusive evening parties of the year, to which the international set flocked in their numbers. Its crowning was a huge firework display which inspired the original bottle. Nuit de Longchamp was released worldwide in 1937.
Nuit de Longchamp has graced the shoulders of elegant women since this time, like a magnificent garden of white flowers blooming in the twilight. From the African shores of the Mediterranean and the Ottoman gardens, Lubin has used only the most precious flowers and balsams which capture the hearts of women everywhere.
