In the beginning there was Eau d'Hadrien: Annick’s creation that has become the best selling of the Annick Goutal line. In order to understand the captivating magic of Eau d’Hadrien, Camille read “The Memoirs of Hadrien” (the book that inspired Annick the create the original Hadrien scent in 1980). What she discovered, was that this was a love story with great emotion and depth. Therefore, she felt that Eau d’Hadrien was too light to effectively evoke this story of love, and so she created Les Nuits d’Hadrien: a more radiant, voluptuous and sensual, oriental fragrance . The Sicilian Lemon, and the Love story of an Italian emperor lends itself to a scent of a Tuscan night – Camille imagined herself on a warm, balmy night in love in the Italian countryside.
